Roadtrip to Seattle

So, a couple weeks ago I drove down to Seattle to visit some friends for a week. The road trip plans changed so many times due to the wildfires happening in BC right now, from camping to cutting down into Spokane, but it was finally settled that the first day would just be a straight drive through to Abbotsford, which is roughly 9 hours of driving, plus breaks and delays due to construction.

About half an hour from Abbotsford I saw a sign for Bridal Falls, got super excited, and took the next exit.

The sun was only just starting to set, and was sitting right against the falls. Without an ND filter it was really difficult to get a long exposure shot of the falls without over exposing, but I think I got some nice shots from the area in the end. =)

It was such a beautiful spot and exactly what I needed. Waterfalls make everything better.

The next day, before heading down to the border, I decided it would be 'fun' to take on the classic  Vancouver traffic so I could experience Stanley Park for the first time that I can remember. I got to dip my toes in the ocean, which was enough to make my heart happy, and walk along the sea wall, before exploring the rain forest-esque centre of Stanley Park.

My time in Seattle (or just outside of, where I was staying) was filled with new friends, visiting new areas, and experiencing new things. I was so busy being in the moment (which usually I'm not, since I always have a camera in front of my face while I travel) that I only did end up capturing a few photos of Seattle itself.

Naturally, the majority of the photos I took are from the zoo, but that's understandable because, well, animals. =D
